Born on 22 September 1988 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Jay Shah grew up with a passion for sports, especially cricket. He completed his education in engineering from Nirma University, where his analytical skills and leadership abilities began to shine.
Stepping into Cricket Administration
Jay Shah entered cricket administration with a vision to modernize and strengthen the sport’s infrastructure. Starting with the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), he worked closely on developing world-class cricketing facilities, including the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium in the world.
BCCI Leadership
In 2019, Jay Shah became the Secretary of BCCI, the youngest to ever hold the position. Under his leadership, Indian cricket has seen enhanced financial stability, expanded domestic tournaments, and robust grassroots development programs.
